This is a final reminder that registration is open for the 2023 CWPA Annual Workshop, which will take place July 19-22 in Reno, Nevada (virtual spaces also available). Please share widely with WPAs in your circles! Led by the wonderful facilitators Joanne Giordano, Erin Lehman, and Andrea Montvalo, the following topics will be addressed:
- WPA role and responsibilities
- Campus culture
- Faculty-driven assessment including program, placement, and outcomes assessment
- Programmatic change and how to assess changes that are made
- Navigating change that is imposed on WPAs (reform movements, austerity measures, budget cuts)
- Actively bringing about change, including antiracist and equity work
- Different institutional designations
- Critical reflection on students, privilege, and access
- Presentations on feedback and programmatic action plans
- Connecting with fellow WPAs
The cost for the in-person workshop is $470, while the cost for the virtual workshop is $250. A few final points:
