What do you need to know about generative AI like ChatGPT? Members of the Modern Language Association–Conference on College Composition and Communication Joint Task Force on Writing and AI share what they’ve learned from their survey of teachers and researchers and provide an overview of their first working paper. They’ll discuss the risks and benefits of generative AI for teachers and students in writing, language, and literature programs, as well as their recommendations for how educators, administrators, and policy makers can work together to support critical AI literacy.
