Event: Chair or co-chair the 2024 or 2025 IWCA Conference? Deadline December 1

Greetings!

I hope your fall is going well.

Are you looking for ways to be more involved in IWCA and to invigorate your writing center work? Consider chairing or co-chairing next year’s IWCA conference (2024), which will take place remotely! We’re also looking for chair or co-chairs for the 2025 in-person conference.

The program chair or co-chairs work closely with the IWCA VP and board to coordinate all program aspects of the annual conference. Among other things, conference chairs craft the theme, call for proposals, arrange readers for conference proposals, and set the schedule. The IWCA Executive Committee is responsible for conference logistics.

Interested IWCA members should send a brief letter (no more than 2 pages) detailing your ideas for the conference (including conference theme), any relevant experience you and your team would bring to the conference planning team, and any institutional support that might be available for you as you take on this role. Submit your letter to IWCA Vice President Christopher Ervin (chris.ervin) by Monday, December 1, 2023. Appointments will be decided by the IWCA executive board and Conferences and Institute Committee.
