Hi colleagues,
I’m writing to share a link to an open faculty position at Lewis University. Though the ad emphasizes creative writing, we’re also very open to candidates with rhetoric/composition expertise who could one day lead one of our writing programs (FYW, WAC, or the Writing Center). So, no need to be a creative writer to apply.
We’re located about 45 minutes out of Chicago, and our compensation is quite good for a mid-sized private university (and is on par with many publics). The university is Catholic, but faculty are by no means expected to be religious, and the university has a strong commitment to social justice.
You can find the ad here, and feel free to reach out with any questions.
Best,
Tom McNamara
