I’m writing to share the news that the WAC Clearinghouse has several openings for book series editors and associate editors. Detailed information is found below. For full consideration, please apply before December 4, 2023.
Editor and Associate Editor, Practices & Possibilities Book Series
The Practices & Possibilities book series addresses the full range of practices within the field of writing studies, including instructional practices, research methodologies, and professional practices. We seek an editor and one or more associate editors for the series. The successful candidates will join a collegial team of editors who meet monthly to discuss submissions and reviews of book proposal and manuscripts and to discuss and set the overall direction of the series. The editor will also serve as a member of the Clearinghouse Editorial Board.
Like all other positions with the WAC Clearinghouse, these positions are voluntary and unpaid. The expected term is three years and may be renewed.

The Across the Disciplines book series publishes scholarly texts that explore language and discourse practices within and across disciplinary boundaries using diverse methodologies and theoretical approaches. We seek one or more associate editors for the series. The successful candidates will work with the series editor to discuss submissions and reviews of book proposal and manuscripts and to discuss and set the overall direction of the series. Associate Editor, Perspectives on Writing Book Series
The Perspectives on Writing book series addresses writing studies in a broad sense. Consistent with the wide-ranging approaches characteristic of teaching and scholarship in writing across the curriculum, the series presents works that take divergent perspectives on working as a writer, teaching writing, administering writing programs, and studying writing in its various forms.
We seek one or more associate editors for the series. The successful candidates will work with the series editor to discuss submissions and reviews of book proposal and manuscripts and to discuss and set the overall direction of the series.
