My name is Ethan Voss, and I am a second-year master’s student currently working on collecting data for my thesis under the direction of Dr. Julie Lindquist. I’m reaching out today to invite you to participate in my research study, Leading Through Uncertainty: Navigating Personal and Collective Crises as First-Year Writing Directors. This study explores how first-year writing directors, in times of personal and/or collective crisis, respond to and navigate these precarious situations. The purpose of this study is to better understand the work of first-year writing directors, the crisis situations they find themselves in, and how they navigate uncertainty.
This study has been reviewed by Michigan State’s IRB office and approved as exempt (STUDY#00009920).
