I’m excited to share that the Humanities & Communication Department at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University’s Daytona Beach Campus has received permission to hire a second tenure-track assistant professor this academic year.
We seek a candidate with a Ph.D. in English, Rhetoric & Composition, Humanities, or related field. Applicants who are ABD with dissertations near completion and who are scheduled to graduate before August 2024 will also be considered. The successful candidate must have a record of productivity in scholarly presentations and publications that demonstrate the potential to sustain a high-quality research profile in the fields of literature, cultural studies, rhetoric, or similar specialty. Teaching duties, to begin August 2024, include a combination of general education courses such as literature, first-year writing, humanities, and/or technical communication and upper-level courses in the humanities.
We will begin reviewing candidates immediately, and the position will remain open until filled. For priority consideration, apply before Dec. 15. I’m happy to answer questions about the department or ERAU. Questions about this position can be directed to search chair Dr. Clare Little at douglac2 or HU/COM Department Chair Dr. Andy Oler at olers.
The Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Humanities and Composition position is in addition to our opening for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Speech & Technical Communication. There are two different search committees, so candidates who may be qualified for both positions should apply separately.
Thank you,
Caitlin
