Lubbock, TX also offers a low cost of living for a city with a population of 300,000+. And oh, did we mention the 300+ days of sunshine that we enjoy in the south plains?
2. Diverse Faculty Strengths
We have 15 assistant, associate, and full professors with an array of theoretical, practical, and methodological approaches to technical communication and rhetoric. Our particular area strengths are:
- Technical Communication and User Experience Design
- Rhetorics of Science, Health, and Medicine
- Composition, Literacy, and Pedagogy
- Ethics, Feminism, and Public Rhetorics
3. Graduate Student Placement in Academia and Industry
We realize that the traditional purpose of a graduate degree has been changing from the exclusive pursuit of a tenure-track academic position. Our current MA students come to us from companies like Google and Microsoft to grow their practitioner careers as technical communicators while others prepare for traditional academic posts. We prepare our MA students for industry or for application to PhD programs in rhetoric, composition, and technical communication.
We look forward to receiving applications from your students! We have attached a flyer that you can share with your students.
Thank you!
