Hi all,
We have a full time position for someone who wants to eventually assume a leadership role as a Developmental Literacy Coordinator in the Humanities Department at Central Oregon Community College. We offer two Developmental Reading/Writing classes, and many sections of co-requisite first year composition. So this faculty member would mostly teach those courses; however, there is always opportunity to teach other Writing courses, and we are also looking for someone who would be able to teach Brit Lit and/or Shakespeare (1-2 times a year, depending on enrollment).
We are a relatively small department of 9 full time faculty and several seasoned part time faculty, so there are leadership opportunities throughout your career.
I won’t say the weather is lovely in the winter (unless you love snow), but summer and fall are delightful.
