Volunteer: Initial Guidance for Evaluating the Use of AI in Scholarship and Creativity

[Volunteer in that they are asking you to comment voluntarily. That's the closest tag I could choose. —traci]

The MLA/CCCC Task Force on AI and Writing has recently developed some preliminary guidance around use of Generative AI in scholarship and creative activity, as part of our ongoing work. Right now, we have a blog post on the topic that you can find here:

https://aiandwriting.hcommons.org/2024/01/28/initial-guidance-for-evaluating-the-use-of-ai-in-scholarship-and-creativity/

We would welcome feedback, suggestions, or comments (please post them to the blog post comment section so they are publicly viewable), as we are anticipating preparing a future working paper on this topic. We view this initial guidance as starting a dialogue on this topic, much as other fields are doing.

Thanks!
