I’m very excited to share that I’m hiring a new team member for Texas Woman’s University’s "Amplify Your Impact" Quality Enhancement Plan, focused on teaching graduate students to apply effective communication strategies appropriate for public engagement. Our new Public Scholarship Specialist will provide guidance to faculty and students on effective public scholarship and assist in developing and implementing workshops to enhance digital and media literacy. Public Scholarship Specialist
TWU’s current QEP “Amplify Your Impact” focuses on graduate student thought leadership for the purpose of advancing community wellbeing through public-facing communication skill building. Collaborating both internally and externally, the manager will work towards enhancing the visibility of TWU community members by soliciting mainstream media publicity and supporting faculty and students in securing public outlets for their work. The Public Scholarship Manager will work closely with faculty and graduate students, guiding them to successful placements in print, broadcast, and digital media outlets. In addition, the role includes raising the profiles of faculty and students by advising on media appearances and online presence, including social media output.
