Job: Director of the Office of Academic Support for Undergraduate Students, Rice

Hey all,
I am posting this job ad on behalf of my colleagues in the Office of Strategic and Educational Initiatives at Rice. I’ll also note that this position will likely work closely with Rice’s existing writing / communication center and first-year writing program.

Rice University is looking for a dynamic, visionary educator to lead a new Office of Academic Support for Undergraduate Students (OASUS). Specifically, the Director will lead implementation of new learning support resources for undergraduates, including centralized, course-specific peer-led tutoring and peer-assisted learning, academic skills coaching by learning specialists with disciplinary expertise, workshops and modules (in-person and online) on learning and instructional strategies, and training and professional development for peer educators and student teaching assistants (TAs).

I’ll also note that they are looking for someone with a strong background in STEM education or that has a STEM degree. If this sounds like you, please consider applying!
