Dear Colleagues,
I’m writing to announce a new resource for writing studies that Pedagogue will be curating. I’ve been working on developing a space for audio texts in writing and rhetoric: audio articles, audio chapters, and audio books.
Since I launched Pedagogue five years ago, I’ve been thinking about ways to make research in writing studies more accessible to wider audiences. This audio text resource reimagines the production, distribution, and circulation of writing studies scholarship and, hopefully, offers another way to engage with the teaching and research of writing.
I want to acknowledge the journals, presses, and editors who have helped turn this idea to reality: College Composition and Communication, Community Literacy Journal, Composition Forum, Composition Studies, enculturation, Kairos, Parlor Press Open Access, Peitho, Reflections, Spark: A 4C4Equality Journal, Teaching English in the Two-Year College, The Journal of Basic Writing, The Journal of Multimodal Rhetorics, The Journal of Writing Assessment, WAC Clearinghouse, WPA: Writing Program Administration, and Writing Center Journal. I also want to express my gratitude because this project was supported by a CCCC Emergent Researcher Award in 2021-2022.
I’m reaching out to invite you to contribute to this project because honestly it doesn’t exist without your support and willingness to read and record your work. You can complete this Google Form if you’re willing to participate in this project. You can click here for more information about the project: https://www.pedagoguepodcast.com/audio-texts.html
