Event: OWCA Webinar: Supporting Students Writing Self-Promotional Genres

Hi, all.

Sending along a reminder about our next OWCA Webinar event next Thursday, May 30th.

The Online Writing Centers Association invites you to join us for a webinar titled “From Transactional to Transformative: Supporting Students Writing Self-Promotional Genres” presented by Erin Todey
Date & Time: Thursday, May 30th, 2024 at 4:00PM – 5:00PM ET

This webinar will discuss how to support students—especially those who identify as first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented—in writing self-promotional genres throughout the duration of their studies. Presenter Erin Todey, Assistant Director of the McNair Scholars Program at Iowa State University, will discuss multiple self-promotional genres with an emphasis on the statement of purpose for graduate school applications.

This is an open event and you do not need to be an OWCA member to participate. OWCA Webinars are currently held in a Zoom Pro room. The webinar will be recorded and later posted with a transcript and captions on the OWCA website.
