Call for Faculty Fellow Applicants – Whitman College, Rhetoric, Writing, and Public Discourse

The Rhetoric, Writing, and Public Discourse Department at Whitman College is seeking candidates for a one-year Faculty Fellow position, beginning August 2024. The successful candidate will offer three courses during the 2024-2025 academic year, including a course in public speaking or in writing for a scientific, technical, or public audience. The successful candidate will also offer electives in their areas of expertise. The department is particularly interested in candidates who specialize in rhetorics of science, rhetorics of health & medicine, or rhetorical studies of visual, auditory, kinesthetic, or other sensory modalities. Fellows receive substantial research travel support and mentoring that fosters their growth in the classroom and in their scholarly field.

Salary: $67,000
