The University of Tulsa seeks Adjunct Professors to join the College of Arts and Sciences for Fall 2024 with the ability to teach first-year writing and/or 3rd-year technical and professional writing courses in our undergraduate writing program.
As a College of Arts and Sciences Adjunct Professor (in the Department of English), you will:
· Utilize a course syllabus for each course and follow established departmental, collegial, and institutional guidelines.
· Provide timely, quality access and feedback to students via personal consultation, electronic communication, and other appropriate methods.
· Evaluate students by established means to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform them in a timely manner.
· Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
· Submit paperwork and forms in a timeline fashion.
Required qualifications: A doctoral degree in English, Technical Communication, Science Writing, Rhetoric/Composition or similar field with 1+ years of college-level teaching experience in first-year writing and/or technical and professional writing.
