Job: Adjunct Instructor of FYW and/or technical/professional writing, U of Tulsa, Fall 2024

If you live in the Tulsa, OK, metro area and want to pick up 1-2 more classes for fall, we seek candidates for 2-3 additional part-time adjunct instructor positions teaching FYW and/or 3rd-year Writing for the Professions courses at the University of Tulsa. The University of Tulsa seeks Adjunct Professors to join the College of Arts and Sciences for Fall 2024 with the ability to teach first-year writing and/or 3rd-year technical and professional writing courses in our undergraduate writing program.

As a College of Arts and Sciences Adjunct Professor (in the Department of English), you will:
· Utilize a course syllabus for each course and follow established departmental, collegial, and institutional guidelines.
· Provide timely, quality access and feedback to students via personal consultation, electronic communication, and other appropriate methods.
· Evaluate students by established means to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform them in a timely manner.
· Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
· Submit paperwork and forms in a timeline fashion.
      
Required qualifications: A doctoral degree in English, Technical Communication, Science Writing, Rhetoric/Composition or similar field with 1+ years of college-level teaching experience in first-year writing and/or technical and professional writing.
