Job: Assistant Professor of English-Writing and Digital Studies, St. Olaf

The English Department at St. Olaf College is hiring for a tenure-track position with a focus on Writing and Digital Studies. The new hire will join a vibrant department with three major tracks (English, Creative Writing, and English with licensure) and colleagues who frequently participate in or lead interdisciplinary programs such as Film & Media Studies and Race & Ethnic Studies. The English Department is a vital part of the college’s First-Year Experience, with English faculty teaching first-year writing and courses within the St. Olaf’s unique learning communities that bring together incoming students and a faculty cohort through a sequence of themed courses.

Through our own or affiliated course offerings, the English Department is committed to both diversity and breadth of learning through majors that explores time periods, cultures, geographies, and modes of expression with offerings such as Narratives of Social Protest, Afro-Caribbean Literature, Exploring Literary Publishing, and Podcasting & Photography.
