News: 2024 Recipient of the Edwina L. Sanders Award for Outstanding Work on The Rhetoric of Health Inequities

Rhetoric of Health and Medicine journal is thrilled to announce the 2024
recipient of the Edwina L. Sanders Award for Outstanding Work on the
Rhetoric of Health Inequities, Dr. Laura McCann!

Dr. McCann was selected by a committee comprised of the award sponsor and
editors and board members of RHM journal for her excellent article, “Infertile
Exclusions: Countering Race-Based Hyperfertility Narratives Online,”
<https://journals.upress.ufl.edu/rhm/article/view/1787> which was published
in RHM 6.2: Amplifying Racial Justice Work in RHM.

This annual award is given to scholars whose work “contributes to pathways
that could redress health inequities” in the field of the rhetoric of
health and medicine. It is sponsored by scholar Cynthia Ryan in memory and
honor of her beloved friend and co-breast cancer survivor, Edwina L.
Sanders.
