Every semester, the Augusta University Center for Writing Excellence at Augusta University in Augusta, GA hosts a virtual WAC speaker series on Zoom in partnership with our Department of English and World Languages. This semester, we have opted to make the Fall 2024 edition open to the public. Pamplin College’s Center for Writing Excellence and Department of English and World Languages cordially invite you to the fall 2024 edition of our virtual WAC Speaker Series on Thursday, Sept. 26th from 6-7:30 pm ET featuring Dr. Karen Moroski-Rigney, Director of Strategic Planning, Assessment, and Accessibility for the College of Arts and Letters at Michigan State University.
For this exciting installment of the WAC Speaker Series, Dr. Moroski-Rigney will provide faculty with strategies for creating more accessible and inclusive writing assignments. By viewing assignment design through the lenses of disability justice and writing center pedagogy, faculty can prioritize access, accommodation, and accountability to create more equitable learning environments for all students.
