The Department of Writing at Grand Valley State University invites applications for a tenure-track position to begin Fall 2025. Applicants are expected to have a PhD in Rhetoric and Composition, Writing, English, or a closely related field. Candidates need expertise and experience in teaching and researching college writing. The successful candidate will teach a combination of first-year writing and writing major courses and have the opportunity to develop new academic writing courses. Candidates must also have a demonstrated research agenda that focuses on first-year writing, developmental writing, writing program administration, writing transfer, or first-year writing pedagogy.
