Hi Everyone,
The Two-Year College English Association is offering a seminar in program coordination for faculty and program administrators at community colleges and other open-access institutions. Participants will meet in a small cohort throughout the academic year to learn about and share strategies for developing equitable and inclusive writing and literacy programs. The seminar is open to anyone who does English program coordination or development work, including faculty with service and committee responsibilities in addition to those with formal program administration positions.
For more information, please read this document: TYCA Open-Access Literacy Program Coordination Seminar. To register for the seminar, complete this form. Registration is due no later than Friday, October 4. Space is limited to 15 participants.
The TYCA seminars are a new way for members to gather virtually with peers to learn about and work on issues that are important for faculty at community colleges and open-access four-year institutions. Registration for the TYCA Teaching in Two-Year Colleges Seminar is due by September 20. (For more information, read the message that Erin Lehman sent to the TYCA listserv earlier today.) TYCA may open an additional teaching seminar in the coming months. TYCA leaders are also tentatively planning to launch a literacy research seminar during the TYCA National Conference in Baltimore in April.
