The Department of Technical Communication at the University of North Texas (UNT) is seeking applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning Fall 2025. We invite qualified candidates with expertise in artificial intelligence and automation,

Key Details:
* Position: Tenure-track Assistant Professor

* Location: University of North Texas, Denton/Dallas-Fort Worth area
The successful candidate will:
* Contribute to strengthening our courses in AI, content strategy, and information design
* Establish a record of scholarly research
* Teach undergraduate courses in support of our B.A. in Content Strategy and B.S. in Technical Communication and graduate courses in support of our M.A. in Professional and Technical Communication (typical load for junior faculty is 2/2)
Minimum Qualifications:
* Ph.D. in technical communication, information science, learning technologies, or related field by the time of appointment
* Defined research agenda
* Ability to teach foundational courses in technical communication
* Experience teaching at the college level
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience teaching technical communication in online or hybrid modalities
* Industry experience as a technical communicator, information architect, content strategist, or related field
