The Association for the Rhetoric of Science, Technology, and Medicine (ARSTM) is seeking nominations for the following leadership positions. Serving as an officer in ARSTM provides an excellent opportunities to foster collaboration within the fields of rhetoric, science, technology, and medicine.

- Secretary
- 2nd Web Administrator
- Social Media Officer
Position Descriptions:
2nd Vice-President:
This role is part of a leadership succession structure, eventually moving into the Vice-President and President roles. The 2nd Vice-President assists with program planning, monitors organization email, and assists the Vice-President and President more generally. This is a multi-year commitment, evolving into a leadership role over time.
Secretary:
The Secretary maintains records of meetings, manages the ARSTM archival materials, and assists with administrative tasks. This position is a good fit for those with strong organizational and communication skills and it provides practical opportunities for archival practice and records management. This is position is a one-year commitment.
2nd Web Administrator:
The 2nd Web Administrator helps maintain ARSTM’s website, ensuring content is up-to-date and accessible. Responsibilities include assisting with technical updates and working with other officers to share important information with members. This is a two-year commitment, eventually transitioning to the 1st Web Administrator role.
Social Media Officer:
The Social Media Officer manages ARSTM’s social media presence, promoting events, engaging with members, and fostering an online community. This position is ideal for those who are already interested in communication through platforms like Twitter (X), Facebook, and BlueSky.
