Hi colleagues,
The third working paper from the CCCC/MLA Task Force on AI and Writing is available: https://aiandwriting.hcommons.org/working-paper-3/. This document included contributions from representatives from additional organizations including the TESOL International Association, Two-Year College English Association, College Language Association, Association of Teachers of Technical Writing, Council of Writing Program Administrators, International Writing Center Association, Association of Research Libraries, CCCC Second Language Writing Standing Group, Association of Language Departments, supported by an NEH grant.
We intend for it to be a resource to support campus and departmental conversations about Generative AI and the study of language, literature, and writing in higher education.
The Task Force will hold a free webinar through MLAs professional development series next month. You can see more about it and register if you are interested here: https://webinars.mla.org/webinar/building-ai-literacies/
