Our names are Dr. Yi Yin and Dr. Joni Hayward Marcum, and we are a research team based at Utah Valley University. You are being invited to participate in a research study about how diverse social, cultural, and economic factors affect individuals’ digital literacy, access, and perceptions of generative AI tools. The aim of this research is twofold. First, it seeks to explore how socio-economic factors impact digital literacy and access to digital technologies in the United States. Second, it investigates the key factors shaping individual use and perception of new technologies, in particular generative AI.
How to Participate:
In this survey, you will complete a survey with 22 questions in total. The questions cover digital literacy, access to digital technologies including AI, usage patterns, and social and economic background and demographic information. It will last approximately 5 minutes.
