I write to share information about our new Master of Arts in User
Experience/User Interface Design at the University of Rhode Island (see
below). Please feel free to share this with anyone who might be interested
in our program.

The University of Rhode Island’s invites applications to its Master of Arts
in User Experience/User Interface (UX/UI) program. This innovative joint
program of the Professional and Public Writing and Art and Art History
departments prepares students for a meaningful career in the fields of
UX/UI. Students can choose to pursue individual graduate certificates or
complete the master’s—all in a flexible online accelerated format: the
standalone User Experience Design Graduate Certificate (4 courses), the
standalone User Interface Design Graduate Certificate (4 courses), and two
additional courses (10 courses total).

URI’s Master’s in UX/UI equips students to develop ethical, creative
design solutions that address real-world challenges. Guided by principles
of inclusivity, sustainability, and designing for the social good, students
gain expertise in:

  • Ethical and accessible UX design
  • UX research and methods
  • Interaction design
  • UX and microcopy writing
  • UI design principles
  • UI motion design
  • UX/UI portfolio creation
