The Conference on BIPOC Game Studies (C-BIPOC) is a platform dedicated to exploring the intersection of gaming culture, technology, and the experiences of BIPOC communities worldwide. Our aim is to provide a space for scholars, game developers, industry professionals, and enthusiasts to engage in critical discussions, share research findings, and foster collaboration in the field. The conference is Sept 12-14, 2025 at the Strong Museum of Play .
The conference organizers invite members of the BIPOC community, their partners and supporters to submit work to be included in the conference. We invite work from a wide variety of domains and disciplines related to the conference’s themes.
This includes scholarship analyzing related work, creative and commercial activities and panels organized around conference appropriate themes. Submissions are made in one of three main categories:
The conference organizing teams encourage submissions from the wide variety of games research and industry, including game studies, game design, game development, games and learning, player study, and more. To support the community submission and presentation mentoring are available upon request. Please contact the chairs via any of the social media communities listed in the footer to request mentoring.
