Assistant Professor – Developmental Writing
Applicants would teach face-to-face and online courses in developmental writing as well as additional writing, literature, and/or language courses appropriate to qualifications. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University’s Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment Candidates with additional expertise in any of the following areas are especially encouraged to apply: children’s or young adult literature; English Language Arts (K-12) education; rhetorical genre studies; Spanish language.

Assistant Professor – English Education
Applicants would teach English language arts K-12 education content courses and other upper- and lower-level writing, literature, and/or language studies courses. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University’s Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment
Preference given to candidates with English language arts K-12 teaching experience; expertise in children’s/young adult literature, linguistics/literacy studies, diverse literatures, or developmental writing.
