We are pleased to invite you to the fourth Visual Communication Symposium (VCS), to be held at Rice University (Houston, TX) on March 6-7, 2025. Rice VCS is sponsored by the Program in Writing and Communication (PWC) at Rice University.
At VCS 2025: Complex Data, Simple Visual Stories, we’ll discuss the latest trends in visualizing and exploring complex data, including the impact of AI on our field. Through speaker sessions, hands-on workshops, and networking opportunities, attendees will gain actionable strategies to apply to their own data visualization. VCS 2025 is designed for researchers, students, and professionals who want to elevate their data storytelling skills through visualization.
Among our featured speakers at VCS 2025 will be:
- Ann K. Emery (Depict Data Studio)
- Zan Armstrong (Stanford University)
- Rodrigo Ferreira (Rice University)
- John Alexis Guerra Gómez (Northeastern University)
- Nikita Rokotyan (F5)
Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to learn from visualization experts in hands-on visualization workshops. Workshop capacity is limited, and registered attendees will have the opportunity to sign up for a workshop beginning in early February.
Advance registration is required, and there is a $40 registration fee. We hope you will share this invitation with any of your colleagues who may also be interested.
Additional information on invited speakers, schedule, and workshops can be found on our website, vcs
