Dear Colleagues,
We are writing to you in hopes that you will share a fantastic professional development opportunity with your English/Writing faculty: The Allerton English Articulation Conference, which celebrates its 60th year this coming April 23rd and 24th. For more than five decades, English and Writing faculty from Illinois high schools, community colleges and universities have come together yearly to share strategies for teaching and offer a community of support for each other. The conference, held at the beautiful Allerton Park and Retreat Center in Monticello, Illinois, offers plenty of opportunities for discussion, networking, co-mentoring, conviviality, and woodland walks. Over the years, conference attendees have often made professional contacts that led to publications and employment opportunities.
Please visit the Allerton Conference website at niu.edu/Allerton for more information, including this year’s Call for Papers and the registration page.
Please note that the deadline for proposals has been extended to February 21.
If you could share this email with your teaching staff, we would greatly appreciate it!
Thanks,
The Allerton Conference Planning Committee
