Job: Emory University Writing Program: Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow

Dear colleagues,

The Writing Program at Emory University is accepting applications for multiple one-year postdoctoral fellowships. These positions may be renewed for up to two additional years.

The salary for the 2025-26 academic year will be $55,000. Applicants must have a PhD conferred before August 1, 2025 and be within three years of degree conferral. Fellows are expected to be in Atlanta prior to the beginning of the fall 2025 semester.

The teaching assignment for Postdoctoral Fellows is 3/3. In the initial year, Fellows will design and teach themed courses in first-year writing, capped at 16 students, within a teaching-for-transfer framework and participate in our annual program assessment. If renewed, they will have opportunities that may include developing and teaching existing or new courses for our minor in Rhetoric, Writing and Information Design (RWID) or developing an administrative role.
