Dear Writing Center Community,
We are thrilled to inform you that the third issue of Center Moves: A Peer-Reviewed Archive of Tutor Training Materials is now live! Center Moves, affiliated with the Rocky Mountain Writing Centers Association, is a peer-reviewed archive of tutor training and educational materials that new and continuing administrators can draw upon and contribute to as their tutor education and training programs evolve.
Our third issue features two training topics. First, we include three training plans for supporting tutors in working with generative AI, by Jessica Craig of Utah Valley University; Chloe Crull of the University of California, Davis; and Maria Partida of Laredo College.
Second, we present two training plans for helping tutors to think intentionally about agenda setting, by Madison Kooba of the University of Oregon and Maureen McBride & Allie Hamilton of the University of Nevada, Reno.
We thank our guest editors for this issue, Melody Denny of St Lawrence University and Eric Echols of the University of Washington Bochel, for their insights and care in helping us to produce this issue.
Finally, we are so grateful to our co-editor Lisa Bell of Utah Valley University for her leadership in bringing this issue together. We all benefit from Lisa’s vision, deep understanding of the ongoing needs of both tutors and administrators, and commitment to recognizing and elevating the work that goes into making all our writing centers thrive.
Full details and our submission link can be found at the Center Moves homepage. If you have an idea for a submission, please write to us!
Sincerely,
Erin Zimmerman, University of Nevada, Las Vegas
Juli Parrish, University of Denver
