Job: 2 NTT Lecturers (6/6 load) at Georgia Highlands College

Greetings, Writing Studies folks!

Georgia Highlands College, a predominantly two-year degree granting institution in the University System of Georgia, is hiring two full-time, non-tenure-track lecturers to teach English composition and corequisite support for composition courses in AY 25/26. We are a multi-campus commuter college located across four counties northwest of the Atlanta metro area, but these positions will teach mostly on our Cartersville campus with potential online courses as well.

The Lecturer position teaches a 6/6 load with very limited service or professional development obligations (TT positions here teach a 5/5 with service, professional development, and student success requirements), with a salary range of 42K-50K depending on education and experience. A master’s degree in English is required. The job posting remains open until April 7, and the search is currently scheduled to conclude before the end of the spring semester in early May.

I am serving as the hiring committee chair, and I am happy to answer any questions I can about the position, department, school, and location. Please email any questions off-list to cgrimm!
