Survey: Interview Request: Tech Comm Instructors Who Teach Fundraising Proposal Writing

Good afternoon,
I’m conducting dissertation research in technical communication at Texas Tech University, focusing on the skills and strategies needed to craft successful philanthropic proposals.
I’m seeking to connect with instructors who teach fundraising proposal writing in undergraduate technical communication programs. If you teach this topic, I would greatly appreciate a 30-45-minute virtual interview to discuss your pedagogical approaches and course design. Your insights will be invaluable in understanding how proposal writing is taught in academic settings.
To protect participant confidentiality, all interview responses will be de-identified, with details such as institution names, course specifics, and other identifying information removed or modified. This study has received IRB approval, and I would be happy to share research findings with participants. Participation is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time.
Additionally, with the recent closure of the Society for Technical Communication, I recognize that industry connections may be harder to reach through traditional channels. If you know of industry professionals who write philanthropic proposals, I would greatly appreciate any referrals or introductions.
If you’re interested in participating or know others who might be, please feel free to contact me at mika.stepankiw.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to contribute to research on philanthropic proposal writing in technical communication!
Warmly,
Mika Stepankiw
