The University of Toledo Department of English invites applications for an instructional position in the Composition and ESL Writing Programs at the rank of Lecturer to begin in Fall 2025. The position is a full-time, unionized, continuing non-tenure-track appointment, renewable yearly, contingent upon satisfactory performance and instructional need. The Lecturer will cover 24-30 credit hours per year and will teach writing courses including Composition I and II, Composition for International Students, professional and business writing, and scientific and technical writing. We seek a candidate with experience mentoring first generation college students who will help provide students with the warm and welcoming academic experience they need to thrive.
MA or PhD in English, Rhetoric and Composition, or Teaching English as a Second Language required. Experience teaching college composition and ESL writing also required.
