Hello GSOLE Community,
GSOLE is currently accepting nominations for our upcoming election. GSOLE leadership is enhanced by a variety of perspectives and welcomes nominations from any OLI professional, especially applicants with diverse backgrounds and life experiences holding any rank or status, including contingent faculty, graduate students, staff, and/or tutors. We aspire for our leadership to reflect the diverse professionals who labor to sustain online literacy education across higher education and K-12 contexts. Please send nominations, including self-nominations, to secretaryby May 1, 2025.
The GSOLE Nominating Committee is seeking candidates for Assistant Treasurer and three Executive Board At-Large Members.

Assistant Treasurer (1 Position, 1-year term followed by two-year term as Treasurer)
Responsibilities:
- The Assistant Treasurer serves and votes on the Executive Board.
- The Assistant Treasurer shall work with the Treasurer to keep secure electronic records of GSOLE’s financial transactions.
- The Assistant Treasurer shall help the Treasurer prepare finance reports for the Annual Performance Report and for any official reporting requirements demanded by affiliates or governmental agencies.
- The Assistant Treasurer shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Steering Committee or Executive Board.
Executive Board At-Large Member (3 positions, 2-Year Terms)
Responsibilities:
- Attend monthly Executive Board meetings to offer input and vote on initiatives and actions
- Serve on ad-hoc or standing committees to offer support and input
- Every EB member must be an active member of NCTE to be in compliance with our assembly agreement
Materials and Election Process
We will create an electronic ballot and conduct elections in May, announcing winners by the first of June. The elected board membersbegin their terms on 1 July 2025.
Upon confirming their candidacy, all nominees will be asked to submit the following materials by May 1, which will be shared with the GSOLE voting membership during the election:
- a short CV (2 to 4 pages)
- a brief, 250-word statement of interest/intent for the position for which you are nominated and past experience with GSOLE and/or online literacy education. president.
