Survey: GenAI Writing Center Impacts

Dear Colleagues,

How are GenAI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek, Copilot) affecting the writing center? How are directors reacting and adjusting? Who has innovative ideas they could share?

For the third year, our Cornell research team is conducting an IRB-approved survey on the impacts of GenAI tools on writing centers. As with the previous years, we’ll use your input to write a report, which we will share by the end of summer. Later, we hope to include the results in at least one research article.

Please help us by taking 5-20 minutes to fill out this year’s survey:

This year we will ask many of the same questions to get a longitudinal perspective, but we’ve added a component asking about innovative GenAI approaches. If you are developing innovations, we hope we can interview you and share your ideas with our writing center community.
