Dear colleagues,
I’m happy to let you know that you can now register for the Conference on Community Writing 2025, October 23-25 in Detroit, MI! Our theme is "Designing Justice Across Space, Place, and Time."
Event Details:
We will offer three keynote events featuring the Prison Creative Arts Project, Dr. Donnie Johnson Sackey, and Inside Out Literary Arts, five action-oriented DeepThink Tanks, 16 workshops, and almost 100 panels of talks! We’re very proud, too, to be offering our first Undergraduate Poster Session on the Saturday of the conference.
We will continue to update our conference website as we develop programming.
Early Bird Registration offers discounts and is open until August 1. CCW members get bigger discounts. If you would like to become a CCW member before registering, you can do that here. Institutional Departments and Programs can also purchase membership so that all faculty and students receive the member discount.
If you have any questions, please contact communitywritinginfo.
All the best,
Veronica

The University of Denver resides on lands that were stolen from the Cheyenne and Southern Arapaho tribes, and DU’s founder John Evans was involved in the Sand Creek Massacre. I acknowledge and honor the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes and all of the original Indigenous peoples of these lands. I commit to ongoing learning and support of Indigenous-led farms and organizations doing wonderful work in the community such as Frontline Farming and First Nations Development Institute.
