Self-Regulation and Autonomy in Second Language Writing
The 2026 TESOL SLWIS Academic Session will explore how to support multilingual writers with a particular focus on autonomy and self-regulation. We are especially interested in proposals that showcase practical applications, classroom-based research, and evidence for learning outcomes in the following (but not limited to) aspects of L2 writing:
- Handling feedback, collaboration, and correction/editing
- Using technology in the writing process (e.g., GenAI, concordancer, translation tools)
- Raising genre and/or register awareness
