Dear ATTW Members:
We are happy to announce that we are accepting (very brief!) applications for this year’s New Scholar Moving Fund. Thanks to your generous donations and ATTW conference merchandise purchases, we are excited to be able to support recent graduate students who are moving and taking on new faculty roles this upcoming semester.
About the award:
Proposed by Dr. Jamal-Jared Alexander and Dr. Rebecca Walton, the ATTW New Scholar Moving Fund helps with the summer transition time between institutions for recent graduates preparing to start their first post-graduate jobs. Specifically, the New Scholar Moving Fund prioritizes supporting scholars who: 1) are marginalized and underrepresented; 2) graduated from a TPC PhD program in 2025; 3) have registered for and attended ATTW within the last 5 years; and 4) are preparing to start an academic job later this year.
One or two scholars will be randomly selected for a $500 award. If you meet the eligibility criteria and complete the application form, you will be entered in the pool for the random selection.
The New Scholar Moving Fund is supported by member donations and ATTW Conference merchandise sales.
Application:
Applications should take less than 10 minutes to complete. Please submit the form by July 31st, 2025.
