News: WCenter is moving to Purdue! You must sign up again!

Hello WCenter Community,

Lady Falls Brown had the foresight to create this community in 1991, and Texas Tech University has been honored to host the past 34 years. Today, I am glad to announce that the folks at the Purdue OWL have adopted WCenter, and this amazing resource will live on in a new home.

I want to thank you for your involvement, your kindness, and your patience these past 16 years that I have managed this “family.” The wisdom that has been shared has benefitted the writing center world, the compassion has helped us all grieve as we lost valuable members of our field, and the encouragement has helped new directors build a firm foundation. This is a wonderful community, and I know that it is in good hands at Purdue University! While Lyris is still in place for a couple of weeks, we ask that you follow a couple of steps to move your membership and update your address!

  • The new address for WCenter is writing.lab.

I will be around until the end of the year, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions for me.

Once again, we are grateful to the Purdue OWL for taking over the community. Here’s to 34+ more years of shared wisdom!

Cheers,

Elizabeth
