Survey: Volunteers Needed for Research on Experiences of Transgender People in Academia

Hello, Writing Studies friends,

This study (see original email below) is a collaboration among colleagues across colleges at UB, and we are recruiting graduate or professional students, staff, and faculty at colleges and universities across the US.

I just wanted to share if anyone is interested in completing or circulating the survey, which will take less than 10 minutes to complete. Participants can also stop the survey at any time.

I’m on the research team, so I’d greatly appreciate it!

I can answer questions about the study or the survey recruitment, so please let me know if you have any.

Hello,

We are seeking transgender graduate or professional students, staff, and faculty at colleges and universities in the U.S. to complete this survey.

This is a US-wide survey is a research project on the experiences of trans individuals in higher education. This survey is completely anonymous and is not collecting any identifying information. We have also limited our demographic questions so that respondents can provide only as much information as they feel safe including. If you choose to end the survey before submitting, your responses will be deleted. We are gathering this data for two reasons:

(1) We want to identify the current needs/climate for trans faculty and staff in higher education in order to identify the areas of greatest need for intervention.

(2) We want to document this moment in history, so that it will not be erased.

We expect that this research survey will take between 6 and 9 minutes (less than 10 minutes) to complete. You will be asked to answer as many as 37 questions.

The survey link can be found transitstudyteam.
