Survey: Survey on Graduate Reading

Dear Graduate Students and those who work with Graduate Students,

If you are a graduate student, or work with graduate students, you are invited to take, and/or to help to disseminate, a brief survey exploring graduate student reading practices. Graduate students across all disciplines and programs are encouraged to participate. If you are not yourself a graduate student, I would appreciate if you could pass this on to the director of graduate students, graduate students in your program or institution, or others who are part of your network and in contact with graduate students.

The survey should take 15-30 minutes to complete and is anonymous.

This project emerges from a scholarly and pedagogical need to better understand the strategies graduate students know about and use as they read. While scholars are increasingly aware of the challenges faced by graduate student writers, graduate student reading remains understudied. We hope that you might help us address this gap by adding your voice to this study.

“Graduate Student Metacognitive Reading Practices” is IRB-Approved under 2332757-2 [Bowling Green State University IRB board]. Should you have any questions, you can contact Michelle Sprouse at msprous or 419-372-8513.
