Mentoring Undergraduate Research in Writing Studies: Insights from Young Scholars in Writing

Webinar hosted by:
The Writing about Writing (WAW) Standing Group, with special guest presenters from the Editorial Board of Young Scholars in Writing

Description
Join editors and mentors from Young Scholars in Writing (YSW)—the national peer-reviewed journal for undergraduate research in rhetoric and writing studies—for a conversation about how to support and publish undergraduate scholarship. This session will introduce participants to the publication process at YSW and share strategies for mentoring student researchers through idea development, drafting, revision, and publication.

Whether you’re an undergraduate interested in publishing research, you teach a capstone course, direct a writing program, or mentor students in independent projects, this webinar offers a window into how undergraduates can contribute to scholarly conversations in our field and how mentorship can help make that possible.
