CFP: DRC Blog Carnival on Multimodality, Social Justice, and Human-Centered Praxis

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the Sweetland Digital Rhetoric Collaborative is currently accepting proposals for the upcoming 24th Blog Carnival, “Multimodality, Social Justice, and Human-Centered Praxis.”

Inspired by an interview for the Computers and Composition forthcoming 40th Anniversary Special Issue with Drs. Cindy Selfe, Kristine Blair, and Jason Tham, in a call for attention to human experience, we invite you to share how you leverage multimodality to advance equity, inclusion, and access in your work.

If you’re interested in contributing theoretical essays, pedagogical approaches, reflections, practical guides, observations, or multimodal pieces to this conversation, please submit your 100-150-word proposal by Friday, January 23rd, 2026.

Completed blog posts will be approx. 850-1000 words (multimodal projects are highly encouraged).

If you have questions or would like to discuss a potential topic, please contact the editors, Ali Alalem (aalalem) and Thais Rodrigues Cons (tcons).

Best regards,

Ali and Thais
