CFP: Writing Analytics in the Classroom and Workplace Environments

Dear TYCA colleagues,

Please see the CFP for the Conference on Writing Analytics, below. This is a small, warm community with a dynamic conference that is dedicated to pedagogy this year.

Your participation would be very welcome and incredibly informative!

Sincerely,

Jessica Nastal, PhD

Colleagues:

As we prepare for our Conference on Writing Analytics to be held February 19-20, 2026, at University of South Florida St. Petersburg, we want to share the webpage for those of you who may need it to apply for funding or begin making travel arrangements.

We are also writing to invite proposals for presentations. Proposals are open until January 15, 2026 and can be sent to journalofwritinganalytics. If acceptance letters are needed before then, feel free to submit earlier and let us know if you need additional supporting documents. Accepted papers and presenters will be added to our website.

Like last year, our goal is for all attendees to participate in a roundtable, which will be arranged by topic to encourage colleagues to make connections and explore collaborations. Moderators will introduce the topic, and each participant will have approximately five minutes to share a brief overview of any previous work they have done on the topic and then focus on their current work or ideas for future work. Slides are allowed but not required.

  • Proposals Due: January 15, 2026

    • Colleagues are encouraged to submit proposals between 250-500 words related to any of these themes.

    • Proposals will be peer reviewed by the Editors-in-Chief.

In addition to resulting in a great conference last year, this approach facilitated a number of outstanding collaborations, including projects that will be published in our Volumes 8 and 9, which we will share with you soon.

As you prepare your proposals and start making arrangements, feel free to reach out to us with any questions.

Sincerely,

Norbert Elliot, Co-Editor
Alaina Tackitt, Co-Editor
Morgan Gresham, Conference Organizer
Megan Kane, WAC Clearinghouse New Scholar Fellow (2025-2026)
