Survey: Interviews on Edtechs and Critical Instructor Practices

Dear colleagues,

My name is Cam Cavaliere, and I’m a PhD candidate at Miami University seeking participants for interviews for my dissertation project, “Teaching and Learning in an Evolving Digital Landscape: Understanding the Integration of Edtechs in the Classroom through Instructor Narratives”.

I am studying instructor narratives surrounding educational technology integration in the classroom. Through interviewing instructors with an interest in critical practices surrounding edtechs (which can look like learning management systems, institutional tools like Google Suite, generative AI tools, etc.), I hope to uncover practices of edtech integration that our field might take up so that we can more critically integrate edtechs into our pedagogies.

Interviews would be 30 – 45 minutes held via Zoom at a time/date convenient to you. You can reach out to schedule an interview with me via email or by using this Google Calendar link.

If you’re interested, more information is in the consent and information form linked cavalicw). You can also contact my faculty advisor, Michele Simmons at simmonwm@miamioh.edu. The Miami University Research Ethics & Integrity Program reviewed this study and determined its exempt status (05144e).

Thank you so much! If you do decide to participate, I will send over the interview questions in advance. I will also be conducting member checks with all participants before the submission of my dissertation so that I can share my findings with them. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Sincerely,

Cam Cavaliere
