Survey: Graduate Faculty Teaching & Mentorship

Dear Members of the RWS Community,
I am conducting a research study as part of my doctoral work at Oklahoma State University, under the direction of my faculty advisor, Dr. An Cheng. The study explores how graduate‑level faculty in Rhetoric and Writing Studies (RWS) develop their teaching and mentorship practices — what I call “signature androgogies” — and how these evolve over time.
If you choose to participate, you will complete an online survey (approximately 30–45 minutes) hosted on Microsoft Forms. The survey includes both multiple-choice and open-ended questions about your teaching and mentoring experiences.
Your participation is voluntary. You may skip any question or stop at any time without penalty. Your responses will be confidential — while I will know who participates, no names or identifying details will appear in any publications or presentations.
If you are interested, please click the link below to review the consent form and begin the survey: Learning Lineage and Graduate Teaching Practices – Fill out form
If you have any questions about the study, please contact me at Lyndsey.key or Dr. An Cheng at an.cheng. This study has been approved by the Oklahoma State University Institutional Review Board. For questions about your rights as a research participant, you may contact the OSU IRB at irb or 405‑744‑3377.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to contribute to research on graduate faculty development.
Sincerely,
Lyndsey Elizabeth Key,
Graduate Teaching Assistant
