Job: Asst. Professor of Rhetoric, Composition, and Literacy Studies – UTRGV

The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) and the Department of Writing and Language Studies (WLS) is seeking to fill two positions for assistant professor of rhetoric, composition, and literacy studies.

From the job ad:
We seek applicants who are dedicated to serving The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s diverse student body and community as an assistant professor of rhetoric, composition, and literacy studies in the Department of Writing & Language Studies beginning in the 2024-2025 academic year. We invite applications from candidates with expertise in and specializations that might include (but are not limited to): writing pedagogy, languaging/border rhetorics/multiliteracies, WAC/WID, professional writing, and medical rhetorics and writing. Expected duties include maintaining an active research agenda, teaching three courses per semester in the English major, English M.A., and professional writing minor, and service to the department, university, field, and/or community.
