Event: ARSTM at NCA for a celebration of recent monographs

Hi, colleagues:

For those headed to NCA, please join us on Friday 11/17 at 12:30 pm in Potomac 2 at the Gaylord National (Ballroom level) for an interactive session featuring the authors and books listed below.

Published a recent book (solo or joint-authored, edited or co-edited) but not on this program?

There are a wealth of recent books related to the rhetoric of science, technology, and medicine, so we are producing a supplemental guide of ARSTM books that will be made available to attendees.

If you are the author of a ARSTM-related book that came out in the past 18 months and would like to be included, please send Lisa Keranen an email with the details (title, author, link, cover) at lisa.keranen by Sunday evening, 11/12 with the subject “ARSTM Book Program.” Submissions received after Sunday night will not be included in the supplemental book guide.

ARSTM Book Café: Recent Monographs and Trends in the Field

Join us for a free-wheeling conversation about exciting new monographs related to the rhetoric of science, technology, and medicine. After a brief but lively synopsis of each book, authors and audience members will disperse to tables in a modified world cafe format. There, we will discuss the implications of these works for understanding the rhetoric of science, medicine, and health.
